Description
Multichannel output component for IEC 61937 supporting digital interfaces like S/PDIF, HDMI or DisplayPort.
Preferred multichannel mode is sending audio losslessly as linear PCM. If the interface doesn't support that but supports DTS, the signal is encoded into DTS format.
Output volume adjustment is performed on the signal before encoding it into DTS. If signal is detected to be bitstreamed digital data, volume control is automatically rendered inoperational.

| 0.2 (2024-11-10): | Fixed a bug that prevented the DTS encoder from ever getting activated. Fixed volume adjustment for PCM output. Added detection for bitstreamed audio data, if bitstreaming is detected the signal is kept untouched. Improved error reporting if output couldn't play the source format. Made the output able to switch automatically between side channels and rear channels as target device requires. Made mono sources play as stereo. |
